This is a listening for comprehension taking the song 'I Feel It In My Bones ' from Vampire weekend. Assumptions are made on the story behind the lyrics, what they may mean and  learning to be creative in what we think the song writer is talking about.  

Objective – Proactively develop listening skills and use grammatical structures when making assumptions or speculations.

The sound above GOT me thinking about New York and the blocks and why do they call New York the big apple. Maybe is the Spanish language influence --- MANZANAS are blocks in Spanish -- aren't they ?

Reading  - The reading text is an article from FORBES magazine on the growing influence of the Spanish speaking demographic in North America and how this will influence trends in the future. 

With DIGITAL TRANSITION over the past ten years we have seen huge changes in cultural habits world wide one of which is how other languages are effecting the type of English being used on a daily basis.
