As soon as the solo exhibition was over in templebar I had ten days to complete the work for the art fair Swab in Barcelona so that it would be ready for transportation on the 10th of May.
There was one large piece I wanted to work on and I also wanted to repaint the frames of drawings so that they would work well together.But first things first... all artists in the fair were given this toy to style in their own particular way. All of the pieces I swa seemed too cutsy and cartoony. I had been drawing textured sea pieces originating from the texture of thorns so for me the idea came quite quickly and contrasted well with the first impression of a teddy being cuddly.
