1. The structure is built up in 'rings' of styrofoam placed on ontop of the other and joined together by small sticks and wood glue. The reason for the disc like rings is so that the final shape will have a more natural accidental curvature.
2. The tree shape when completed is smoothed back initially using a circular wire brush attached to a drill.The form is lacerated to carve back into it carefully so as not to dig into the structure too much. Make sure to wear a teflon suit gloves, mask, goggles hat, the works the styrofoam goes everywhere, I mean everywhere!
