9.The matches were sunk into the structure and poured in plaster which bonded the matches so that I could cut through with an axe saw.I wanted to give the impression that the tree was solid with matches all the way through or like cables in side to give it more substance and curiosity.

10. The shellac is then added in layers thinned with methylated spirits. Numerous layers are applied sanded with 320, 240 grain paper and reapplied.

For the moment this is how it looks but I think there is more to do.
