The movement of people and their connection to their place of birth and families has taken a CUANTUM LEAP since the introduction of social media and smartphone technology. No greater is the difference than in North America. The FOREIGNER \ estranjera\o \\ has alway been referred as the minority. Basically saying that their numbers are the smaller percentage. The projection now is that by 2050 thirty percent of the North American population will speak Spanish as their first language.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR BUSINESS ? --

Imagine this scenario --- You have recently relocated to North America from a Spanish speaking country and your six year is suffering from a terrible TOOTHACHE. You shop around for a dentist \ because you'll have to pay\ and you find several at more or less the same cost but with one difference. One dentist CHAIN \ candena \ can offer a native Spanish  speaker or native English speaker.Going to the dentist can be a traumatic experience at any age son what which do you choose. .............

It's a NO BRAINER really, you choose the native speaker to softener the experience a bit for your kid.

This is what's happening in many different service and logistics sectors across North America daily. The free market dictates, it's not political it's economic. The companies that can offer services in these two languages across many different sectors are the companies that are growing.

It's hard to imagine now but up until quite recently it was believed that being bilingual was actually DETRIMENTAL to a person intelligence. This field of thought has been FLIPPED ON IT'S HEAD and more and more research supports the case that speaking two languages has numerous benefits in relation to emotional intelligence, creativity and mental health.

How Spanish fluency became a competitive business advantage - BBC Worklife

"The memory that really sticks out to me is being told by my middle school teachers that I wasn't allowed to speak in Spanish with my peers out of fear that those who weren't bilingual would feel 'left out'."

Phrasal verbs with OUT – break out, left out, fall out, find out, hand out, go out.

ESC: Phrasal verbs - C (1) - Details - Kahoot!

It's now widely accepted that speaking more than more language FLUIDLY is an advantage but up to recently it was regarded as a disadvantage – Why WOULD this have been the case previously? – Discuss using MODAL verbs when you are SUPPOSING on a situation.
