Finally - preparing the pallette

Everything had to be sent on the pallet including power tools and other materials to hang the show once it had arrived. The centre crate contains all such equipment and also two pieces of sculpture.

At the base of the pallet sits a large resin piece of sculpture within a reinforced wooden crate. This piece is cast resin just under hxwxd 100 x 100 x 17cm and is bought strong and heavy making a perfect base in which to built on.The two larger crates are positioned at each side of the centre piece and all the crates are screwed to each other. It was a bit like putting a jigsaw together, swapping it around until it fit as tightly as possible all the time srewing the crates to one another. I fixed planks and strips of wood around to protect the sides of the crates and wrapped the whole thing in pallet wrap putting the address on each side to be sure.It was really like sending sending your kid to school on their first when the guy came to collect the pallet.
