The idea for making this tree developed from a culmination of sources mainly finding a small toy tree made from the german company schmeck , a conversation with my mother about Adam and Eve and reading Raymond Chandler at the same time. These different varients for some reason fused in me and I thought of Adam shooting Eve in a sleavy motel in the bad side of town.
Shoot where innocence was lost as they say, different elements of my sense of perception layered ontop of each other. The tree inside and the clouds, a Columbo style murder scene chalked on the floor and of course the biblical scene of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.To me the installation is a definition of the exsistential a quiet rejection of all things catholic but the scene and the open window the begining of a mystery.
