The making of a 2 meter origami horse

First of all this is the maquette we used to work from when building the full size horse.The maquette is made from the same thickness carboard that the final horse is comprised of and hasn't really got the delicate and ephemeral qualities that reflect the Japanese craft of origami.I feel that considering the final horse will be three times the size of the maquette but the cardboard being the same thickness it should hold more of the qualities of paper.
