I cam back the next day to the studio and my poor horse had collapsed and somebody had propped it up with chairs so I needed to re-evaluate the process. I thought the best thing to do was strenghten the entire structure using polyester resin. In order to do this I separated the parts and painted the resin on outside, due to the toxic nature of the material it is always better if there is any possibility to do this work outside but still always wear a good quality mask.
The resin was painted on one side and let to try, then the other parts underneath painted after.Once all the surface had been covered the two halves wwher joined back together.
