The mark and the scratch

I have been compiling reference material from certain books, numerous anthologies and novels for gthis part of the blogg.I am writing this blogg as a ramble between inspirations, dropping little adds of my won work and an occassional run down on what i am doing at La tabacalera at the moment. That's the way it's going to go, comprende amigos? Vale;)

but anyhow it struck me at how drawing is such an articulate form of expression and the mediums of graphite or charcoal are still the most satisfying to me and it's so rudimentary. I was using charcoal last week to draw a tree on a wall here in Madrid and the charcoal was a perfect blackened branch and smooth as silk(almost, artist licence yeah?)and that is all it is, carbon.
