Graphic novel par 3

So, there you go first image on the blogg and a great one to start. 'Balck Hole' by Charles Burns probably one of the best and enjoyable novels I have ever read. The book is based around a college area in america in the early ninties. To anyone who can remember this period of grunge music and the x generation this book is bound to move you.

Strangly it reminds me of the 'The plague' by Albert Camus. There is a strange sense of isolation and decay and an irreversible inner change evoking the adolescent in us.The imagery in this book is really beautiful and the style definitive and strong.Charles Burns manages to do what is the most sought after and also the most difficult, that is he makes perfection looks spontaneous thus retaining a vital energy in the convergance of seeing and reading.
