Think Differently -- Riddles \acertijos\ and associated language

 


Each of these lessons are based on cultural and trending topics such as the rise of the spanish language as a competative edge in North America to NFTS and the Metaverse. In this exercise we look at the value of thinking differently or  to ' Think Outside the Box' and how creativity is becoming an essential key in a everychanging economic landscape. 

The lesson is based around a series of exercises and video on the topic of thinking in a different manner than you would normally. 

Class duration – One - 2 hour session \ Number of students – 1 – 4 

Objective - Develop an awareness of critical thinking while expanding on related vocabulary.  

The majority of corrections are given in real time during the online class with notes taken and written in the CHAT option in Microsoft teams, google MEET or skype.

Look at the above image from the Belgian surrealist artist Rene Magritte. What strikes you about the painting ? Take your time examining the image locating where you are describing -- On the top right hand corner, top left hand corner, bottom right hand, bottom left hand, in the center of the painting etc..

 There is ...... , there are \ plural\ . -- Vocabulary -- trunk, hatchet, chippings, stump, 

Does the image REMIND you of  another image or a memory or some other association. The artist painting and sketched this image probably a hundred times or more so take your time examining the painting and in your mind construct you description  ELABORATING your as much as possible. 

GRAMMER -- Hypothetical -- When discussing and describing something that we are uncertain of we use the hypothetical in English which are the CONDITIONALS.  

0 Conditional is a fact - If , verb present ....., verb present .  If you HEAT water to 100 degrees, it boils. 




NOTE - Thinking on your feet is being able to read your emotions and know how to BUY some TIME if necessary.
