Mark Tenant versus Micheal Borreman -- Making comparisons between the painters. Conversation - B1 - C2






 

Each of these lessons are based on activities such as describing and comparing images , NFTS or more general like the Ted talk on BLUE ZONES or tips for better PRESENTATIONS. 

Class duration – 30 minutes -  Number of students – 1 – 3 maximum

The majority of corrections are given in real time during the online class with notes taken and written in the CHAT option in Microsoft teams, google MEET or skype.

1. OBJECTIVE – Describing paintings using adjectives and prepositions to locate objects in an image.

In this exercise I will talk about the work of Mark Tenant and a recent exhibition at Espacio 75 in Madrid and the work of the Belgian painter Micheal Borreman.  


We will talk about using prepositions of place \ above, on top of, below etc.. and generally locating objects in an image. We will discuss the materials used \ oil paint, acrylic, canvas. The style – figurative, abstract, expressionist etc.





The INSPIRATION for the work – What era \ epoca\ do they reflect? Are they sombre \ triste\ or poppy ? What colours does the artist use?





2. OBJECTIVE – Making comparisons by using connectors WHEREAS, WHILE or HOWEVER .
